Originally from the Eastern Cape village of Cala, Sakhisizwe municipality, South Africa Ama Qamata aka Amamkele Qamata plays the lead role of 16-year-old Puleng Khumalo, a teenager who is on a mission to uncover the truth about the cold case of her older sister who was never found after being abducted at birth in the upcoming Netflix webseries "Blood & Water". Ama Qamata`s first acting role was as Naledi in the SABC1 sitcom My Perfect Family in 2016. The talented youngster then went on to have a  recurring role as Thandi in the soap opera, Rhythm City, in 2018. At 21 years of age, she is certainly no stranger to the small screen, having also played the starring role of Buhle in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora.
